In seven card stud what is the situation that results in the draw of a single community card?
I have seen this once or twice but when does it happen and why?

I believe that happens when enough players stay in the hand resulting in not enough cards being in the deck for every player to get 7 of their own. If there are 8 people at the table, 8 x 7 = 56 which is 4 too many for everyone to get a full hand of their own.
